“hereditary” is an ongoing reconfiguration of my personal family photo album, questioning the ways that generational trauma and experiences can seep into photographic representation, what the image hides, and how we remember the past with all the complexity it holds. The work considers the photographic archive as a record of family history, and the ways it can preserve and distort what we inherit.
